Ho ho ho... Merry Xmas!!

It's 12.45pm here and it's so quite out there. No sound of car or people walking around. No white christmas this year. I've been here for almost a month and only snowed once early in the morning but just for a while. The floor was not even covered with tiny bit of snow. I will have xmas potluck dinner tonight. My best friend and her hubby will drive all the way from her place to my place which will take up around 2 hours plus. They gonna stay overnight here and i'm sure we gonna stay up late and have a long chat tonight.
I've prepared some dishes for tonight - rendang, five spices pork with mantou, sweet and sour soup and mixed vege. While my friend will cook chicken curry and fried noodles. I will try to post the pictures of food later tonight.
Last but not least, wish you all a very blessed christmas and have a wonderful time with your family and friends. Take care and God bless u all :)

Thanksgiving Mass

My mum invited a priest over to our place for a thanksgiving mass yesterday. We wanted to thank God for all the blessings that he has showered us throughout the year and may He continues to bless us and guide us throughout our life. We prepared some food for our invited guests, mostly were choir members and a few from BEC. My mum was the chef while I was just a kitchen helper. So after the mass, all of us enjoyed the food together.

Potato-topped chicken pie (Shepherd's pie) - I made this for the first time... still acceptable :)

Hmm.. yum yum..

Few days ago,

Agnes: Lao shi, I got cakes to sell.
Me: Cakes??! What cakes?!
Agnes: Cakes for chinese new year!
Me: That's early!!
Agnes: Where got early.. two more months to go only. Got biscuits also. I got samples. Do you want to try out?
Me: Ok, bring it to the college.
Agnes: I will.. and please let other lao shi know also.
Me: Don't worry. I will help you to promote.

So, today my student brought some cakes and biscuits for us to try out. We did make some orders from her and most probably will get our orders few days before cny. Take a look of the photos and see how tempting they are. We were very full after trying out ALL the cakes and biscuits. So we skipped our lunch. Save money... hehe...

Excited, Nervous or Anticipate?

What is my feeling now? To tell the truth, I'm not really sure. 9 days left before I can announce the good news to all. But maybe I can't tell cos I might not be allowed to do so. Anyway, wish everyone all the best in all your undertakings :)

An Inverted Christmas Tree!!

Have you ever seen this new inverted Christmas tree before? This is not a camera trick. These trees are displayed in John Lewis store in UK. Both sell at the same price :) The decorations are very nice. But I wonder why they want to invert it...

Guess what is this??

It was my nephew's "Thomas the Train" birthday cake. The lady who made this cake took 2 days to complete it. Don't dare to eat the icing because of the colouring. But it was really a very nice birthday cake. It looked exactly like the real "Thomas the Train".

My dog is a cat!!

Do you know what is my dog's hobby?? Chasing after mice. Caught it in action tonight.. cool...

Doctor to be...

Today I brought my niece to buy a doctor play toy set. She started to act like a doctor few days ago. I'm not really why suddenly she likes to be a doctor. Maybe because she went to see doctors a number of times and now trying to act like them. Kids will always be kids :)

I'm not really sure why doctors have to wear glasses. Hehe...

Sushi

Last Sunday, I made some sushi for my sister. I'm kind of like promise her that i would make sushi for her months ago. So in order to fulfill my promise to her, I offered to make her some. Here are some of the photos taken. Altho they looked kind of ugly but still edible :)
